Full program description
Crisis Communication
This training provides a comprehensive review of key multi-tiered supports and communication strategies that can be used across Preschool–Transitional Kindergarten (PreK–TK) and Kindergarten–12 (K–12) settings to help prevent, address, and manage crisis situations. Participants will explore proactive communication approaches and supports that can be implemented at different levels of need to promote student engagement, reduce escalation, and create safer, more supportive learning environments.
The training will also highlight practical strategies educators and school staff can use before, during, and after challenging situations. Participants will strengthen their understanding of how effective communication is, individualized support, and a multi-tiered approach can help teams respond consistently to student needs while promoting positive outcomes for students and staff.
