SC4MTSS Session 3 – Counseling Skills & Strategies for Small‑Group Counseling (Primary School Counselors)

This launch session equips counselors to weave California’s Children & Youth Behavioral Health Initiative (CYBHI) Fee Schedule into an MTSS-aligned CSCP.

Participants will learn how the reimbursement model turns school-based behavioral‑health services into a sustainable funding stream while reinforcing Tier 1, 2 & 3 interventions. Using the SC4MTSS alignment tools, the group will map existing individual and group counseling services onto MTSS tiers, complete a counseling skills self-assessment, and draft an action plan for fee-schedule billing workflows, data collection, and stakeholder communication.
