Full program description

The Power of Student Voice - From Questions to Change: Using Civic inquiry to Empower Student Advocacy

This interactive one-day professional development equips educators with practical tools, instructional strategies, and ready-to-use resources to strengthen civic knowledge, student voice, and meaningful civic engagement.

Participants will explore how to integrate the Civic Inquiry Process into classroom instruction and school initiatives, empowering students to investigate issues, analyze evidence, engage in respectful dialogue, and take informed action on challenges affecting their schools and communities.

The training highlights how civic inquiry can be used to support student advocacy related to substance use prevention, health promotion, school climate, mental well-being, and other youth-identified concerns.
