This interactive professional learning experience equips participants with the knowledge and skills to teach and facilitate student-centered conflict resolution practices that strengthen school climate, reduce disciplinary incidents, and empower students to build positive relationships. Participants will explore the causes and dynamics of conflict, reflect on their own conflict response styles, and learn strategies to coach students through communication, empathy, and collaborative problem-solving.

This highly interactive training will focus on:

  • Hands-on training in the 2-Mediator, 2-Disputant peer mediation model
  • Facilitating structured mediation conversations that help students identify underlying needs, take responsibility for their actions, and develop mutually agreed-upon solution
  • Skills needed to establish or strengthen peer mediation and student leadership opportunities that foster belonging, accountability, and a positive school culture
