Peer Program: Beyond Difference
In this highly interactive workshop, you will explore culturally responsive concepts and topics related to working with a diverse student body. Participants will walk away with a deeper understanding of diversity, inclusion and cultural responsiveness, and how to respond with greater awareness to improve school culture, climate, and student achievement.
This highly interactive training will focus on:
- Reflecting on your own life experiences and sharing these experiences with others in a safe, supportive and highly engaging environment
- Diversity, inclusion, micro-aggressions, unconscious bias, social identity groups, inter-sectionality, privilege, and next steps
- Practical tools for recognizing personal biases, engaging in courageous conversations, and creating more equitable and inclusive school communities
