2026-2027 Los Angeles County Science Community of Practice
The Los Angeles County Science Community of Practice is a series of meetings supporting district TOSA's, Specialists, Grade Level/Dept. Chairs, and other Science Education Leaders. The purpose of the Community of Practice is focused to: Networking and Collaboration Identify obstacles and challenges for science education Identify solutions and systems Leadership and Professional Development Maintain knowledge of trends Meetings will take place Virtually or In-Person (PLEASE NOTE: DATES MAY CHANGE) Participants will receive current statewide and local updates regarding NGSS implementation efforts, including curriculum, assessment, and professional learning opportunities. Partners include CASE Members, K12 Alliance, LA County Science Projects, Informal Science Institutions, CREEC Members, and more. Meets LCAP Goals: 1-8
