Inclusion by Design: Moving from Access to Meaningful Belonging
Inclusive education is more than placing students with disabilities in general education classrooms—it requires intentionally designing environments in which every student can participate, contribute, and belong. Participants will explore practical strategies for increasing access to grade-level instruction, peer relationships, and the broader school community.
The session will address collaborative planning, universally designed support, appropriate accommodations, and ways to maintain high expectations while responding to individual needs. Participants will leave with actionable ideas for examining and strengthening inclusive practices across classrooms and programs.
