Getting Reading Right: Diving Deeper, 2026-2027
Join us for a year of goodness as we dive deeply into specific components of effective literacy instruction. Whether you were trained in our Getting Reading Right series or you're new to this work, we invite you to come alongside us in this year-long learning journey! While each session is designed as a stand-alone module, this registration link registers you for the whole kit and kaboodle! We'll have 10 two-hour sessions on Zoom throughout the 2026-27 school year:
- September 10: What's Handwriting Got to do with Reading?\
- October 8: Phonemic Awareness-Building for Upper Elementary
- October 29: Leveraging Oral Language Structures and Scaffolds
- November 19: Unlocking Multisyllabic Decoding Through the 6 Syllable Types
- December 10: Demystifying Skill-Specific Small Group Instruction
- January 28: Syntax & Sentences & Sense--Oh My!
- February 25: The Power of Data Protocols in PLCs
- March 18: Reimagining Read-Alouds: Enhancing Cross-Content Receptive & Expressive Vocabulary
- April 29: Utilizing Spelling Analysis to Inform Reading Instruction
- May 13: Bringing Families to the Reading Table
