Getting Reading Right Self-Paced Online Course

Quality, evidenced-based, Tier One reading instruction is key to equipping young readers with the skills they need to read with proficiency. The Getting Reading Right online course is designed to walk participants through the elements of effective reading instruction, based on the science of reading research. Using the Simple View of Reading and Scarborough’s Reading Rope as the foundation, educators can learn how to apply the research to classroom instruction and deepen their understanding in how to ensure that all readers' needs are met. The course is comprised of 10 self-paced modules, each approximately 20-30 minutes in length. They can be completed all in one sitting or taken one at a time, as schedules allow.
