Full program description
Starting Physical Education Strong & Outdoor Education
This session combines two topics.
This session explores how intentional practices in the first 10 days of school establish a positive culture, build strong relationships, and create the conditions for meaningful learning throughout the year. Participants will examine practical strategies to support belonging, set clear expectations, and foster student engagement from day one. The focus is on starting the year with purpose so routines, trust, and learning can grow and sustain success over time. What we establish in the first two weeks becomes the foundation that carries learning forward all year.
Outdoor Adventures is a fun and exciting physical education curriculum for ALL students! Participate in this Outdoor Adventures training and experience lessons that teach survival skills, angler education, orienteering, and other OA units. The Outdoor Adventures curriculum is not your traditional PE course. Instead of teaching PE with basketball and tennis rackets, we use rods and reels, survival tarps, and a compass. Outdoor Adventures is designed to change learners’ lives by exposing them to a variety of opportunities outdoors. Learn how you and your students can benefit from Outdoor Adventure programming.
