Strategies to Support Students with Special Needs in the Dual Language Classroom
This 3-part series will support participants’ understanding of policy that protects English Learners in the context of both Dual Language and Special Education settings. It will also highlight research underpinnings found in the California Practitioner’s Guide for Educating English Learners with disabilities and the California English Learner Roadmap.
Session topics will include MTSS & Prereferral, Assessment & IEP Processes, and site/district-based student support systems with a DL/bilingual assets lens.
