Elementary Integrated ELD A One-Day Institute
This professional learning session will equip elementary educators with the knowledge and strategies to effectively implement Integrated English Language Development (ELD) within the core curriculum. Grounded in the California ELA/ELD Framework and the California English Learner Roadmap policy, this session will explore best practices for designing equitable, language-rich learning environments that support multilingual learners.
Participants will deepen their understanding of integrated ELD, examine instructional shifts that promote language and content learning, and explore ways to scaffold academic discourse and literacy development across subject areas. Educators will leave with practical tools to enhance instruction, foster student engagement, and ensure all English learners thrive in an inclusive, rigorous learning environment.
The workshop will be in-person at LACOE. Breakfast and lunch are not included. One hour will be provided for lunch on your own.
