Ethnic Studies Three-Day Summit, Day 1
Day One kicks off with a morning session led by Dr. Bryant T. Marks of Morehouse College, a national expert in cultural competence and diversity. Dr. Marks will provide in-depth training on recognizing and addressing microaggressions in educational settings.
In the afternoon, Facing History and Ourselves will guide participants through effective strategies for leading classroom discussions on controversial issues, fostering student engagement while maintaining a respectful learning environment.
Throughout the day, attendees will gain hands-on experience in designing culturally responsive Ethnic Studies classrooms. You’ll leave with concrete tools, expert insights, and ready-to-use strategies to immediately apply in your teaching practice.
Note about pricing: The daily rate is $250, or register for all three days of the Ethnic Studies Summit for $650.
