AI in the History Classroom: Tools, Tips, and Transformation

Building on the foundational concepts this advanced session is designed for educators ready to deepen their classroom implementation of AI. Participants will refine their use of effective prompting strategies, design AI enhanced lessons, and assessments, and explore instructional approaches that promote higher order thinking, creativity, and authentic student learning. The session will examine practical strategies for setting clear expectations for responsible AI use, developing classroom policies that support academic integrity, and teaching students when and when not to use AI as part of the learning process. Through collaboration and lesson design, educators will create classroom-ready resources that leverage AI as a tool to enhance inquiry, feedback, and differentiation while ensuring students remain active thinkers, problem solvers, and creators.
