26-27 Mission Admission: A College Application Support Day (Collegewise/UC Folks)

Equip your team with the knowledge and tools needed to effectively support students through the college application process. This interactive professional development is designed for AVID teachers, 11th and 12th grade teachers, counselors, and site team members who play a critical role in advancing college and career readiness. Participants will receive guidance on supporting students with California State University and University of California applications, including timelines, requirements, and best practices for ensuring accurate and timely submission. In addition, participants will receive information on best practices for equitable outcomes: ensuring all students engage in postsecondary opportunities.

The session will also provide key strategies to prepare students and families for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and strengthen schoolwide systems that promote completion. Teams will leave prepared to lead organized, equitable, and impactful application support efforts that expand postsecondary access and opportunity for all students.
