26-27 Coordinator Compass: Navigating AVID Implementation
Designed for Year 1 and Year 2 coordinators, this foundational training supports new leaders in successfully implementing and sustaining AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) with fidelity. Participants will strengthen their understanding of the AVID College and Career Readiness Framework, clarify the coordinator’s role, and develop systems to lead site teams, monitor implementation, and align AVID with schoolwide goals. The session will provide practical tools for building strong site teams, facilitating effective meetings, using data to guide continuous improvement, and creating a strategic plan to ensure equitable access and student success. Coordinators will leave with a clear roadmap, resources, and actionable next steps to confidently lead and grow AVID at their site.
