Full program description
26-27 Beyond the Basics: Elevating Thinking Maps for Deeper Learning
You’ve introduced the eight Thinking Maps and now let’s take them to the next level. This LACOE session is for educators who have completed initial training and want to make Thinking Maps a true driver of student learning. We’ll focus on advanced strategies: flexible map use, integrating the Frame of Reference, and connecting multiple maps for deeper understanding. Rather than just filling in worksheets, you’ll learn how to use maps as a dynamic, student-centered language for thinking. With hands-on coaching and real-time collaboration, you’ll be ready to differentiate instruction, analyze student work for deeper insights, and weave Thinking Maps into your everyday lessons. Bring your unit plans and student work and we’ll solve challenges and refine your approach together.
