How to Leverage Summative Data to Impact Classroom Instruction
Join the 21st Century California School Leadership Academy and the LACOE Assessment Unit for a collaborative learning series focused on transforming summative assessment data into meaningful instructional action. Explore practical strategies for using assessment evidence to strengthen classroom instruction and improve outcomes for all students. Participants will explore key data sources (including the CA Dashboard) to identify priorities, analyze assessment results, and determine what additional information can be used to inform instructional decisions.
Turn data into action by using target reports, interim assessment overviews, data review protocols, and CERS resources to explore next instructional steps. Practical tools such as Tools for Teachers, the Smarter Annotated Response Tool, and Atlas will support the development of focused instructional strategies aligned to student needs.
