Positive Behavior Supports for Inclusive Classrooms

Positive Behavior Supports, often referred to as PBIS within educational settings, was founded on the notions of “quality of life” and inclusion for all. This evidence-based framework for providing social-emotional-behavioral supports has demonstrated strong positive outcomes for youth with and without special needs across life domains. However, this body of work is also one of the most misunderstood, underutilized, and myth-riddled school improvement initiatives. Please join us in these sessions as we explore and discover the reality of these powerfully inclusive PBIS practices at the classroom-level and the positive impacts they can bring to all students, families and teachers.
