The Educator’s Data Journey: Leading for Equity Through Meaningful Use
This professional learning series is designed to empower educators with the mindset, tools, and collaborative practices needed to engage in meaningful, equity-centered data use. Grounded in The K-12 Educator’s Data Guidebook by Ryan A. Estrellado, the series reframes data from a tool of compliance to one of curiosity, storytelling, and continuous improvement. The series centers educators' lived experience, fosters a trusting environment for data conversations, and equips individuals and teams to confidently engage with local state data systems—including CAASPP, ELPAC, and the California School Dashboard-in service of student equity, school improvement, and instructional growth.
Ideal for both individuals and site- or district-based teams, regardless of prior data experience, the series supports participants in developing a shared language for data use, building confidence in interpreting multiple data sources, and walking away with practical strategies to apply in classrooms, PLCs, and leadership settings.
