Full program description

2025-2026 Learning Collaborative: Strengthening Systems for Differentiated Assistance Support – Charter School Focus
Centered on Data, Systems, and Practices Using System Wise
Facilitated by the Center for District Capacity Building, in partnership with the ADL and LCAP Teams

This interactive, in-person session is designed specifically for Charter Schools eligible for Differentiated Assistance (DA). The training will provide targeted support around data use, systems alignment, and instructional practices, with a strong emphasis on how these elements can support charter renewal and compliance with the California School System’s Support structure.

Grounded in the guiding principles and tools from the book System Wise, participants will engage in collaborative planning to strengthen their internal systems, improve outcomes for identified student groups, and ensure their DA work aligns with broader organizational goals.

Throughout the day, charter school teams will:

  •  Explore actionable strategies aligned to state priority areas and identified student groups
  •  Examine how Differentiated Assistance intersects with and informs SPSA/LCAP development and charter renewal planning
  •  Engage in cross-functional work connecting systems design, data literacy, and instructional improvement
  •  Reflect on how to embed improvement efforts that are coherent, sustainable, and equity-driven

This session is a collaborative effort led by the Center for District Capacity Building (CDCB), with support from LACOE’s Advancing Data Literacy (ADL) team and LCAP Support Team. Together, these teams will provide tools, guidance, and planning resources to help charter leaders align DA supports with their renewal process and long-term strategic goals, all through the lens of the California MTSS framework.
