2025-2026 1-Day In-Person Training: CAMTSS Family & Community Engagement Foundations 
with Featured Speaker: Kimberli Breen, MS, CAS, MA, Behavior Change Agent, Affecting Behavior Change, Inc.

Join this focused, in-person professional development to establish the foundational building blocks for effective family and community engagement within the California MTSS framework. Led by nationally-recognized MTSS expert Kimberli Breen, whose extensive experience includes coordinating MTSS, PBIS, and family–school partnerships at state and district levels , participants will gain direct guidance on embedding engagement practices into daily school operations.

What You’ll Experience:

  • Core Foundations: Understand the “why” and “how” of engaging families and communities as partners within MTSS.
  • Best Practices in Communication: Learn to deliver accessible, culturally responsive messaging and foster two-way, trust-based relationships.
  • Interactive Tools: Use practical templates and protocols to initiate family–school collaboration aligned with MTSS tiers.
  • Systems Planning: Practice mapping engagement strategies onto MTSS structures, and draft action steps for your site or district.
